Toyota’s commitment to quality, innovation, and durability is the foundation of the Toyota Certified Used Vehicles program, which launched in 1996 and has grown to more than eight million certified vehicle sales.
Today, Toyota offers two certification levels: Gold Certified and Silver Certified. Each program is designed to give shoppers added confidence through Toyota-backed warranty coverage, a multi-point Quality Assurance Inspection, a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report, Roadside Assistance, and other ownership benefits.
Gold Certified vehicles are qualifying Toyota models that are up to six years old and have 85,000 miles or less on the odometer.
Silver Certified expands Toyota certification to additional qualifying vehicles outside Gold Certified eligibility. Silver Certified vehicles may be up to 10 model years old and have between 60,000 and 125,000 miles on the odometer, outside Gold Certified eligibility parameters.

Not every used Toyota qualifies for certification. Toyota Certified Used Vehicles must meet the eligibility requirements for either Gold or Silver certification and complete Toyota’s multi-point Quality Assurance Inspection process.
Toyota-dealer-trained technicians inspect qualifying vehicles and complete necessary reconditioning to help ensure each Certified Used Vehicle meets Toyota’s standards for mechanical quality and overall condition. Every Toyota Certified Used Vehicle also includes a free CARFAX® Vehicle History Report.
Toyota Certified Used Vehicles include Toyota-backed warranty protection based on their certification level. Gold Certified vehicles include both Limited Comprehensive Warranty and Limited Powertrain Warranty coverage, while Silver Certified vehicles include Limited Powertrain Warranty coverage.
Applicable covered warranty repairs have a $0 deductible, and eligible warranty coverage is transferable at no additional cost, subject to Toyota’s program terms, exclusions, and vehicle eligibility.
Every Toyota Certified Used Vehicle includes 24-Hour Roadside Assistance during the applicable coverage period. Available services may include:

424-Hour Roadside Assistance: Gold Certified vehicles include Roadside Assistance for 7 years/100,000 miles, while Silver Certified vehicles include Roadside Assistance for 12 months/12,000 miles, subject to applicable program terms. Services may include flat-tire assistance, battery jump-start assistance, lockout assistance, emergency fuel delivery, and towing for qualifying situations.
